Best advice I’ve ever received:
Be critical and consistent.

If someone were to offer you an unlimited supply of something, what would you ask for and why?
Pineapples or potatoes. I like anything with pineapples and kantang (Hokkien for potato)—mashed potatoes, potato chips, etc.

What’s one thing you think you should be doing more of, or that you wish you had more time to be doing?
Deep down inside me, I want to create more things, in the aspect of design and art. I wish I had more time to travel around the world or at least slow down to travel to those less-travelled spots in Singapore to get my creative soul and eyes inspired, again.

If you’re a new addition to a crayon box, what colour would you be and why?
Unicorn colours—a crayon made up of several different pastel colours. It’s cute, and I guess that’s how I would like to see the world. It’s value-adding too—you buy one crayon and you get several different colours all at one go. Why not, right?! (laughs)

What inspires you day in and day out?
People, space, time, culture, memories. And of course, beautiful and exciting visuals.

 If you could have any animal in the world as a pet, what would you choose and why?
Squirrel/chipmunk! I’ve always been fascinated by a squirrel’s movements. And I do feel—even some of my friends too—that I look and move like a squirrel/chipmunk. I’ve also always dreamt of having a tree house. Maybe that’s the reason why. (laughs)
