Zhao Pei looks resplendent in this scarlet red, full skirt, and she cherishes any opportunities she has to wear colour. “I personally like prints, bright and bold colours, and statement necklaces or earrings,” she says. “However, as I work in an IT company, an outfit that is a tad too loud would attract unwanted attention.” Zhao Pei tries not to spend too much time behind a screen, though, and she is a firm believer in traveling as much as possible. “The world out there is a free encyclopedia,” she explains. “You gain valuable experiences, insight, knowledge and life skills from traveling and meeting awesome people from all over the world who are willing to share what they know without any return.” No surprise, then, that Zhaopei also makes it a point to separate work and personal life, and she spends her evenings catching up with friends over dinner and drinks. This keeps her going throughout the week, as well as her favourite quote from Mark Twain: “Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.
