Where’s your favourite place you’ve been to?
Sweden, which is where my husband is from. Coming from the Philippines, it’s nice to see a society where the people are well taken care of by the government.
What are some of your wardrobe staples?
I love Scandinavian brands. The dress I’m wearing is from Whyred, which is from Sweden. I like big glasses because I don’t wear a lot of makeup, and my style in general is very minimal, with few accessories. It’s all about comfort and convenience for me.
What’s a lesson you’ve learned from your work?
To just be open to challenges, and be ready to step out of your comfort zone. I entered a corporate job after studying in the arts, but I think I was able to do well because I was open to learning new things.
What are your favourite comfort foods?
Filipino food, because it’s what I grew up with. It’s a lot of meat, fried food and strong flavours with a mix of cultural influences. I also love Swedish food because a lot of it is comfort food, and it’s such a different culture.
If you had advice for your younger self:
Don’t be afraid to ask questions, and everything’s going to be okay.
