Local Pride

Mike’s shirt is as cool as they come – those are caravans in the print! Dressed casually in a shirt-and-jeans get-up, he calls his personal style “honest, comfortable, and basic”. He also counts his wife and mother-in-law as his style influences – we heard the latter is a big collector of Issey Miyake. A busy guy, he runs a music company called Riot! Records outside of his day job, with local musicians Charlie Lim, The Great Spy Experiment and Inch Chua on the roster. “Charlie called me a bulldog once; I was not amused. I’m more a wolf dog.” Mike travels frequently for both work and leisure, so in his free time he enjoys the simple pleasures in life – “I’m probably tending to my plants in the patio.” His dream dinner date would be none other than the Prime Minister of Singapore. “We’ll have a listening party, with good wine and great made-in-Singapore music.”
