No Doubt About It

Sarah won us all over with her amicable, open personality — perhaps it’s something she gained from her mother, with whom she was out with. “My mum is definitely my role model! I’m actually really, really close to my mum and I find her super inspiring as a person, a mother, a career-woman and a friend as well,” she says. “Even when she’s really busy with work, she never hesitates to pick me up or have dinner with me because family is that important to her.” Sarah is currently studying to become a doctor, and although she says that things can get pretty crazy and hectic, she hasn’t regretted a moment of it. “I still find myself thinking about how fortunate I am to be studying something I’ve always dreamed of,” she says. “There are days where I feel weighed down by the amount of work we have, but I know that it’s for a good purpose and this passion is ultimately what keeps me going.” When it comes to her personal style, Sarah is all grown up. “I love maxi skirts, midi skirts, culottes and cigarette pants. I feel that they exude a kind of modern elegance but yet retain a sense of class and edge,” she says. “Sometimes, less is more, and the simplest pieces matched together can go a long way.”  If there was one thing she wishes she could wear more of, it would be high heels. “I absolutely love heels; without them, I feel like certain outfits aren’t entirely complete. I tend to wear heels if I’m heading out after school, but walking in them for the entire day is really exhausting, especially since our campus, or even our individual faculties, is huge! But as they say, pain is gain,” she laughs. When she isn’t at school, Sarah turns to music to help her wind down and find her concentration again. “I love music. I sing at school performances with a couple of friends, and it’s always a lot of fun. I also play the piano and ukulele to accompany my singing!” We love how Sarah is such a ball of energy, and that she always tries to stay true to herself.
