If you could travel back in time, which moment would you visit and why?
The time when Jesus walked on earth. To see miracles happen in real life—I think that would be really good. It’s not just about the faith in Jesus but seeing the impossible happen.
Another moment I love and remember:
When I passed my driving test, and the first time that I could drive my grandparents around. My grandfather actually drove me to school every day, from when I was in Primary 1 to University Year 1. He never said “I love you” but that, to me, is the greatest display of patience or love. To have someone send you to school everyday, that’s commitment! So it’s also from him that I learnt commitment, resilience, and patience.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and how would you use it?
To heal broken hearts. There’re so many people you meet every day and you hear stories you can’t do anything about. This happens even in my salon, or when I photograph people.
If I could have a meal with anyone in the world:
I’d still choose to have a meal of home-cooked food with my mum.
Books I’m currently reading:
I read many books at the same time but one of the books I’ve been reading is called Antifragile by Nassim Nicholas Taleb. The book talks about how when someone is robust, they’re not susceptible to failure; when someone is resilient, even after they failed, they will resume their original status quo. If someone is antifragile, a failure makes them even better than before. Whatever failures you’ve faced make you stronger than before.
