Introduce yourself!
I’m 16 years old preparing to take my O Levels this year, and my hobbies are sketching and listening to music. I also like clothes a lot—most of the time ah, if I could buy anything, I think it would 100% be clothes.

Relatable! How did you discover your love for clothes and fashion?
Honestly, it’s mostly through the internet and influencers like Wisdom Kaye. I see his clothes all damn nice, then I just get inspired. My friends also inspire me a lot. Most of the time when I go out with them, they’ll dress up, so then I thought, maybe I try to dress up also lah. Then now, two years later, I try to dress up anytime I can.

Do you guys often share fashion inspo or do clothes swaps?
Inspiration not really ah, because we all have different tastes in the group, but sharing clothes, yeah. Most of the time we share clothes because it’s very hard to buy nice, affordable clothes these days. Everything’s always so expensive! So sharing clothes is number one for me.

We’re all for raiding our friends’ wardrobes too! You mentioned you’re preparing for your O Levels this year—what are your plans once that’s over and done with?
I got a few things in mind. First, I want to get a part-time job so that I can earn some money to buy more clothes (laughs). Secondly, I want to get into Junior College. My dream school is Victoria JC, but realistically I think I’ll probably go to Anderson Serangoon JC instead. After studying, my dream is to become a doctor. I want to be a surgeon and help people out and travel the world. That show, The Good Doctor, really inspired me.

Well, here’s wishing you all the best! It’s interesting that you mentioned liking music and sketching, but also wanting to pursue medicine in the future.
Yeah, sketching is just something that I do on the side, because I’ve liked drawing since I was in primary school. As for music, I just enjoy listening to it 24/7, when I study, do work, or take care of my younger siblings.

What’s it like being an older brother?
It’s hard of course, because every time I come back home or want to go out, I need to make sure they eat and do their homework all. But at the end of the day, I hope they look up to me ah because I always hope I can be the best mentor or brother that I can be for them.
