The most ridiculous thing I remember wearing:
I used to be a dancer when I was a kid and we wore a lot of sequins and dance costumes. (laughs) Maybe that’s why I like a lot of muted clothing now.
I can’t live without:
Black pants, flat shoes, and baggy shirts.
The best part about my job:
It’s really a privilege to be able to talk to leading architects in Singapore, getting a deeper understanding of their work and sharing it with our readers.
Who are your favourite architects?
That’s such a difficult question! There are so many architects and designers I admire, all for various reasons. In Singapore, I’m always excited to see new work by Ling Hao, WOHA, ipli, Lanzavecchia + Wai, and a lot of others. There’s a Dutch architect whom I often think of when experiencing buildings and spaces: Herman Hertzberger. His lessons are perennial.
My favourite past times:
Nature walking and reading.
Life mantra:
Stay positive.
