Sending a bright smile our way, Samantha was immediately game when we approached her. Describing her style as “rustic and free”, there is indeed a certain artful carelessness in her outfit, which includes a voluminous, faded denim skirt, tank top with an embroidered pocket and burnished leather bag. Her tattoos add a gentle touch of rebellion and her tanned skin belies much time in the sun. The recently married lady is an architect and has started freelance interior design work, finding both immensely satisfying and fun, albeit stressful. To relax, she explores new cafés with her husband or revisits her favourite TV show, “Sex and the City”, which she shares is like her “drug, therapy and inspiration” with its “clever humour, massive fashion and great sex scenes!” Vivacious and forthcoming, she shared that she’d love to have dinner with famed Japanese architect Tadao Ando, although she concedes it’ll be a quiet dinner as he speaks no English.
