Sweet Dreams

Pairing a cosy, rust-brown sweater with playful footwear in an eye-catching shade of blue, it seems Yvonne isn’t afraid to mix several colours together in her outfit, and not necessarily colours that we’d usually think of putting together. Yvonne tells us how she used to be even bolder with her outfits, experimenting with all sorts of looks. “I had everything from floral prints, to pieces in lace, to bright-coloured tops!” Now, with a stringent dress code at work, Yvonne has mostly switched to monochromatic palettes, playing around instead with different designs and styles, so we were lucky to catch her in a more colourful casual-Friday outfit. Yvonne tries to live by the Latin proverb “omnia mea mecum porto”, which translates to “all that’s mine, I carry with me.” It has inspired her to gain as much experience and wisdom as she can, which echoes the best advice Yvonne’s ever received, which came from her uncle: “Always stay grounded and humble, regardless of your circumstances. Also, be grateful to the people who love and have helped you, and always do what’s right, even if it scares you.’” With that in mind, Yvonne has a solo travel trip planned for the year, one she’s eagerly counting down to. “It’s one of my biggest dreams, which I didn’t have the courage to pursue when I was younger.”
