We caught Nathalie during lunch hour in the central business district, looking classy and work-appropriate in a floral blouse, paired with simple black work pants, and finished off with a pair of elegant, deep-purple pumps. We were therefore surprised to learn that Nathalie, despite her polished, professional outfit, wasn’t currently working, and was looking for a job here. “I was in New York before this, doing sales and marketing, and I have been in Singapore for about a month,” she shares. Originally from Lebanon, Nathalie says that she is getting used to living in Singapore, and the heat does not really bother her, but the humidity does. “It makes my hair really frizzy,” she laments, while gesturing to her hair. It was unfortunate that Nathalie arrived during such a hazy period in Singapore. “It was really bad and I had to wear a mask whenever I went out. At least it’s better now!”
