We would recognise that college boy prep style, distinctive black-rimmed glasses and neatly coiffed hair anywhere. It’s Yong, whom we’ve met previously here, here and here. This time, he had just stepped out of a meeting, which explains why he was dressed to impress in an outfit of multiple layers. The sock-less brogues, in particular, were a really nice sartorial touch. “I’ve been limiting myself to buying only blue-coloured items for a while now,” he shared. “So I don’t have to think about matching my clothes anymore. Maybe I’m getting lazy so I’m trying to build a sort of an uniform,” he added. Being a design director hasn’t left him much time for hobbies these days either, but Yong has been trying to read ‘Art As Experience’ by John Dewey in order to find ways to better his work. He’s also been turning to the art of eating to unwind. Part of a “Katong Brunch Club” (other members being close friends of his), Yong spends his Sundays lazing around in the Katong area. What do they get up to? “We sometimes eat up to four meals in one afternoon,” he grinned.
