What’s something silly or untrue that you used to believe as a child?
That the boogie man exists. I spent so much of my childhood and early adolescence believing that I had to build a fort of pillows to protect me from dark forces.
Are there any things from the past you’re nostalgic for?
I do miss spending school recess playing tag with schoolmates.
Share with us one interesting random fact you know:
Did you know that women blink nearly twice as often as men?
If you could change one thing about your past, what would it be?
I would have given up plastics a long time ago.
If you could invite any three people, living or dead, to dinner, who would you choose, and why?
Michelle Obama, because the lady is a vision. I’d also invite Jonathan Van Ness from Queer Eye because I listen to his podcast Getting Curious religiously and I reckon I’d learn so much from him, plus it’ll be a fab mome (fabulous moment)! And finally, journalist turned environmental activist Claire Nouvian because she led a campaign to ban deep-sea bottom trawling.
What’s the last thing you listened to that you’d recommend to others?
I’d highly recommend checking out Pieces of a Man, the new Mick Jenkins album. It’s so tasty.
