We’ve been noticing this breezy shade around quite a lot lately. It could be the recent heat, but there’s just something about a well-pressed chambray shirt, or a pale blue pair of culottes. The timeless light or pastel blue joins a host of other blues—denim, navy—that have become an essential part of our wardrobes. It’s extremely versatile, for one, going well with white for a fresh, airy springtime look, or with shades of beige or neutral nudes. Secondly, there’s a hue for every skin tone—with undertones of pink or green—and we love how the little differences make a world of change. A dusty, pale teal spells sophistication, while a bright, almost-periwinkle shade is immediately eye-catching and almost childlike; either way, there’s a whole spectrum to play with.
