There are endless possibilities when it comes to fashion, and it’s easy to switch up a tired outfit by playing around with a variety of layers and materials. We all know that black is a pretty failsafe choice, but you can add an unexpected element to an ordinary outfit by pairing different textures together, such as translucent lace or chiffon. A bit of lace at the end of a midi skirt or maxi dress not only maintains an office-appropriate length, but also adds visual interest to the outfit. We also like the return of fish net stockings for off-days, playfully peeking through ripped jeans or the bottom of pant legs. Be sure to keep the rest of the outfit simple so that there aren’t too many things going on, but just have fun with it.
