“Always remember who you are” is Farah’s personal motto. Her work as a paralegal keeps her occupied, but she tries her best to make time for her parents, friends, and more importantly, herself. “It’s easy to ‘lose yourself’ when you’re busy and get caught up in work,” she shares. “You should always have time for yourself.” When she was younger, that meant collecting stamps — she had three stamp collection books at one point — but now, she checks out new eats, catches up on reading, or goes for a run on weekends. At work, Farah loves the camaraderie shared with her colleagues. “They are really nice and fun so that makes going to work enjoyable, though it would be good if I could challenge myself more and to be more exposed.” To those just entering the workforce, Farah’s advice is to not take everything to heart. “Remember that it’s all part of the learning process and you should always give yourself the chance to learn — be it at work, or even learning about yourself.” On style, Farah says that her preference for monochromatic shades has become somewhat of her signature look, and she channels her personality through statement pieces and accessories. “I’m into statement earrings lately, and have jumped onto the leather-choker bandwagon, which is an ingenious idea.” No matter what your style is or what trends you’re trying, Farah’s biggest advice is to feel comfortable in the clothes that you wear. “This can also help to give yourself a little more confidence.”
