A Good Kind Of Crazy

Michelle pays careful attention to the clothes she picks out for work. “I like to look out for unique statement pieces and match them with basics like tees and tank tops in black, grey, or white,” she says. “A pair of outstanding sneakers completes my look.” In her outfit today, it is her kimono jacket that steals the spotlight, matched with a laid-back pair of sandals instead. Michelle works in Sales, though she’d love to open a fashion café if she could, or, “idealistically, be a professional tourist”.  If you think that’s somehow a little out-of-this-world, Michelle’s favourite quote, a line of dialogue from Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland, might just change your mind: ‘Mad Matter: “Have I gone mad?”/Alice: “I’m afraid so. You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”’ Still, Michelle is not one to be flighty. Although she subscribes to the saying that you only live once, she believes in being grounded as well. “I’m definitely not the crazy ‘quit-my-job-and-travel-for-a-year’ type.” She has other pressing goals at hand for the year: baby planning and house renovating.
