On His Mind

“I wouldn’t be able to live without my basic, plain tee-shirts,” Jaryl says. “They’re my life savers whenever I have much more on my mind other than what to wear.” It definitely seems that Jaryl’s busier and busier these days, having recently been promoted to Head Creative Designer at LAANK, an interior design studio. There’s probably no better person to ask about, then, when it comes to imagining a dream office. “It would have an open layout, with small pockets of space that serve different purposes—a material library, meeting area, lounge area, and an awesome pantry.” But Jaryl also knows that an office is only as great as the people in it are, which is why his ideal office environment would be a place that feels like a second home, “where everyone is family”. Now in his third year at the company, Jaryl continues to believe in spontaneity at both work and play. “Life is full of surprises, both good or bad, and being open to change should be the way to go,” he says. “It keeps you free.”
