If you could move somewhere to live for the rest of your life, where would it be and why?
I would move back to my home country, the Philippines. Everything and everyone that I love is there. That’s where I’m most comfortable, and it’s where it feels like home.

What do you miss most about your home?
I miss the air when it rains, and the fog and dew in the early morning when it’s a little cold before the sun rises. I miss the food and the festivities; almost everything is celebrated with family and relatives. There’s a lot to explore in the Philippines; a lifetime is not enough to see everything. Most of all I miss my children. They’re what make the Philippines home; they’re the reason I have to strive, and they’re who I live for.

My comfort food:
I love seafood. In whatever mood I am, seafood satisfies me the most. Other comfort foods would be local Filipino food; nothing beats our local food for me. My hometown Pampanga is known as the culinary centre of the Philippines.

Besides your family, what’s one thing you can’t live without?
Music. There is no day that I’m not plugged into my music. I have multiple headphones and speakers—one in my bag with me on the go; in the living area, for the game console; a wireless one for when I’m out and want to block out the world; and a wireless speaker by the laundry area for when my wife and I do chores.

One thing most people don’t know about me:
I’m an introvert so there is a lot most won’t know. No one actually expects me to be funny. I look too serious all the time so no one thinks I could crack a joke or be sarcastic. It takes a while to bring out that side of me; I need to be comfortable first.

If you could trade lives with anyone for a day, who would it be and why?
I would like to trade it with my older self, the “me” in the future. Just for a day, I would like to know how I turned out to be. Maybe it could motivate me to do more and do better.
