Tell us something interesting about yourself.
Apart from being an Art Director, I also have a sideline job—I make earrings, and the brand is called HazyMoMo. (laughs) So now you know where the ‘Hazy’ comes from; ‘MoMo’ comes from my last name as well. I only just picked it up last year, and I normally do it after work. I was just trying to do something new. Recently I met with (Malaysian singer-songwriter) Yuna, and she wore my earrings, so that was like a big thing.

For people who want to venture into entrepreneurship, what advice would you give them?
I think that if you believe in something, you just have to keep doing it—believe in it and don’t give up. If you have to work hard for it, or travel for it, do it. Because at the end of the day, you have that feeling that you’ve achieved what you want. That’s the thing about having a small business. Sometimes I walk down the street and I just go like, “Oh my god, I made that”—it’s satisfying.

My guilty pleasure:
Sometimes, after my workout, I’ll treat myself to a cone of gelato. I know it’s not good, but I deserve it! I do it all the time. (laughs) Maybe that’s the motivation for me to work out.

Do you have any work advice for people just starting out?
I like to explore—from fashion, I went on to graphic design and advertising. I think at the end of the day, if you find one career that you like, you should stick to it. But life is short, so if you want to change your career then just go for it, as long as you are okay to start from ground zero.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed?
I’ll go down to 7-11 and grab a bar of chocolate. I’m an emotional eater. I’ll also share my guilty pleasure with my friends, or my victims. (laughs)
