Shirting The Issue

Commonly seen in variations of linen and other light, breathable fabrics, shirtdresses are a staple in our perennial heat. While the simplest way is to wear it plain and loose for a relaxed, oversized look, you can also cinch it with a belt for a defined silhouette that accentuates the waist, perhaps for situations that call for a more formal look. We’ve also seen Shentonistas layering with their shirt dresses too; anything goes—pair it with jeans or leggings underneath, or throw it on as a light outer layer, when the days turn cooler but packing a jacket seems like too much bulk and hassle. Accessories are a way to explore colour pairings—try a tonal approach with pieces in similar shades for a monochrome look, or have a little fun with brighter accessories that contrast or complement for a pop of colour.
