Tell us about yourself—what do you do?
I have my own company, and I’m a writer for TV shows. I’ve always been passionate about reading, and I wanted others to see my work, so I turned that into my career, and I’ve been writing for almost 17 years now.

If you could choose to live in any book, what would it be?
Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. I think it’s one of the greatest books ever written, and I love that her character is torn between an ethical struggle and love.

If you could meet any writer throughout history, living or dead, who would it be? What would you want to talk to them about?
I would love to meet Rabindranath Tagore, who is a Nobel Peace Prize winner, poet, and polymath—I want to understand every line of Gitanjali, his most celebrated work. But then again, I would also want to meet many others like Frida Kahlo, Sylvia Plath, Neil Gaiman, Bharathiyaar, Walt Whitman, Roald Dahl, Rumi, Sujatha, Aaron Sorkin, Shonda Rhimes and Michelle Obama! So, the list is pretty non-exhaustive.

If you could have an infinite supply of anything, what would you wish for?
I’m a self-confessed procrastinator who often lives in multiple imaginary worlds, so I’d love an infinite supply of time so that my procrastination doesn’t bite me in reality.

What’s a piece of advice you wish you’d received when you were younger?
I wish I’d known earlier that putting a piece of writing out into the real world is the most liberating thing that I could’ve done. That might have given me the confidence to start writing earlier.
