Tell us about yourself—what do you do?
I work as an auditor. I studied accountancy in polytechnic and did well in it, so I thought it’d be a good career to pursue, though I’m also hoping to gain more experience and specialise in forensic auditing. I also run a business selling pre-loved pieces from Japanese labels.
Did you have a dream job growing up?
I wanted to work in fashion design—more specifically, I wanted to be a pattern maker. I’ve always been inspired by Japanese fashion, especially Yohji Yamamoto and Comme des Garçons.
Has there been a particular item or collection that inspired you?
Maybe Comme des Garçons’s 1997 Autumn/Winter collection.
If you could design one piece of clothing for yourself, what would it be and why?
A blazer—it’s a basic piece that requires the most work to put together.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?
“Trust your gut feeling.”
