Introduce yourself and what brought you to Singapore!
My name is Drixer, or you can call me Drix! I work as a remote IT support specialist for a company in Canada while based in the Philippines. I love working with technologies and being part of a global team, and I recently took some leave to travel to Singapore for a holiday and to see a concert by The Weekend!
What other hobbies do you have besides music and going to concerts?
I love singing and dancing, but also traveling to feed my mind and soul with different cultures and perspectives. Siargao Island is my second home—I love the beach, and even though I’m still learning to surf, it’s a place that holds a lot of meaning for me, reflected right down to my tattoos!
You mentioned that you really like Singapore, why’s that? And what’s your favourite place in Singapore?
Yes, I’ve been completely fascinated by Singapore’s infrastructure and architecture! It’s really different from the other cities in South East Asia. It’s a really global city, not just a typical city of malls—and also the central CBD. When I’m walking there, I also wish I was working alongside them in this city. It’s the vibe! Favourite spots wise, I really love the Singapore Zoo and fell completely in love with the otters after watching them at the amphitheater!
Awh, we’re glad you like it here! Any favourite animals?
Definitely the otters, they’re so cute and fun to watch! I saw them take a can and place it into a trash bin at the zoo, it’s amazing!
Last question, any other places you’d love to visit? Be it in Singapore or anywhere else in the world!
I’m definitely looking forward to seeing the concert tomorrow and exploring more of what Singapore has to offer. In the next few years, I also dream of visiting Europe and experiencing its culture firsthand!
