A Fresh Look

I’m from Spain, but I’m currently living in Bali.
I’ve also spent time living in Milan, Paris, London, and Hong Kong. I work as a model and journalist, and I’m visiting Singapore to see some friends.

What’s your favourite place that you’ve lived in?
Hong Kong and Bali, they’re so different. I like that Hong Kong is so cosmopolitan and has so much energy, but at the same time if you want to be away from the city there are many islands and beaches you can visit. It’s also well-connected to the region so it’s a good place to be based in. I love Bali for its nature, and the people are so humble and welcoming.

What’s the first thing you do when you travel to somewhere new?
I look up the most important places to visit, and try to understand the local culture and food. I use Google Maps to mark out places to go, and I like to explore new places by walking.

Favourite food you’ve tried while travelling:
I’m vegan, so I like finding good local vegan food wherever I go. It’s been pretty easy in Asia, because there are foods like beancurd and soy-based dishes.

What’s your favourite dish from an Asian country?
I love tempeh!
