A Golden Era

Tell us more about yourself. What do you do for work, and how long have you been doing it for?

My name is Malik, and I’m a Service Clerk for a law firm. I’ve been doing this for about 40 years,  since…’89? I enjoy my work, there’s no stress (laughs). I can walk around outside anytime, I can relax.

What are your hobbies outside of work?

Sports! I love soccer, and play every weekend with my friends. I used to play as an attacking midfielder for clubs like Balestier United, but I’m retired now! The World Cup just started, and I’m a huge fan of Argentina because of legends like Messi and Maradona, so I’m really hoping they can win it back to back.

We absolutely love your style! Where do you get your inspiration from, and how do you usually put your look together?

My favourite style is from the 70s! I even wear it to work. I often buy my clothes from shops like Baden Baden Bundle in Malaysia. I also love listening to all kinds of music from the 70s, especially bands like the Bee Gees and ABBA!

What else would you say about your style?

I grew up in a village so I didn’t follow trends or other people’s style; I create my own style. If you just copy how someone else wears their jeans, you end up wearing something you don’t even actually like. But for me? It’s 70s style, all the way!
