Tell us about yourself
My name is Natasya. I’m a product designer and I work at a B2B company that designs product software.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I picked up Japanese recently! In my free time, I try to learn more Japanese vocabulary by listening to conversations in Japanese and watching anime. I think it helps me improve a lot. I love Japanese music as well! I just went to a Naruto concert—it’s a Japanese band that sings a lot of Naruto’s songs, so it’s pretty nostalgic.

Practice makes perfect! What anime are you currently watching?
Recently, all the anime series that I’ve been watching are on hiatus, so I’m waiting for the next season. I love Jujutsu Kaisen and the new season is gonna come out next year, so I’m really hyped for that.

How did you first get into anime?
I think it was through a friend. She just forced me to watch Inuyasha with her. I was traumatised because it was quite scary, and bear in mind I was like, six years old at the time.

She also introduced me to other older anime like Fruits Basket. Naruto was also playing on the television, so yeah, that’s basically how I started.

What’s something interesting you’ve experienced this year?
It’s been an interesting year because I just did a career switch. It’s a new season of life for me, and I’ve learned a lot of new stuff. I was funemployed for a period of time, and entering a new workplace gives me a bit of a whiplash. It’s quite daunting, but I guess looking back it’s quite fruitful.

Laslty, what would you like to do before the year ends?
A mindset switch. I hope that I won’t be too scared about what will happen and just go with the flow. I’d like to believe that everything will work out in the end!
