Tell us where you’re from and what brought you to Singapore.
I’m a business student from France and I’m currently studying in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam for a semester.

I have a week off of school so I thought it’d be a good time to visit some neighbouring cities. I was in Kuala Lumpur yesterday and I’ll be spending the day in Singapore before heading to Bangkok, Thailand tomorrow to meet up with my friends.

Why did you decide to do your semester abroad in Vietnam?
I had two options when deciding on which country to visit—travel up to northern countries like Norway or Sweden, or travel to Asia. I would’ve loved the former, but I felt that it would be more interesting to experience Asia as there are many countries to explore.

I decided on Ho Chi Minh as it’s a good mix between big European cities and the Asian way of life and I love it there—it’s been perfect so far!

Is business something you want to pursue in the future?
I’m really into fashion, so I hope to someday mix both business and fashion into my work. Or I may want to make music on a professional level or try something related to artist development. Whatever it is, I hope I get to work in different countries in the future.

What are you planning to do after returning to France?
I’ll be going home in September to prepare for my last year of studies. I’m excited to see my family and friends, enjoy the summertime in France, and maybe make some music too.

What kind of music do you make?
I started playing the piano and guitar in high school and also had a good time dabbling in beat making. As I got older, those outlets were no longer enough for me so I tried my hand at song making and lyric writing, which I really enjoy. It allows me to share who I am and what I like with people.

I’ve been making hip hop and rap music with my friends and we have a small project that we’d like to share on Spotify soon.

Do you usually travel alone?
No, I usually travel with my roommates but they’re on their own travels in Cambodia and Korea. I think one week is a good time for a solo trip.
