Tell us what you do for work.
I work in System Support. I really enjoy what I do, which is probably why I’ve stayed for 12 years—it’s the longest I’ve stayed in a job! I get bored easily so I would usually make a change every two or three years, but this industry is so dynamic that I don’t feel how fast time is passing by.

We understand that you’re a mother of two. Can you tell us more about what motherhood has been like for you?
I have two children aged 6 and 12. As a mother, my main focus is on my children’s education and preparing them for the different stages in life. My 12-year-old will be sitting for the Primary School Leaving Examinations this year, so I’ve become quite the lion mum! (laughs)

I wish someone had told me how tough it would be to juggle between my career and two kids at the same time. It’s challenging having to experiment with tools and solutions that are suitable for them, but it’s also very rewarding. It’s clichéd, I know, but being able to watch my kids grow up well while carving out a career for myself is more than enough for me.

I’ve also learnt to celebrate every accomplishment my children make, and to show endless and unconditional love. At the end of the day, I only hope that my children will remember our bond, so I like to preserve the valuable memories that we have.

What are some things you enjoy doing together as a family?
We like to get together with our extended family at my mum’s house so that the kids can meet their cousins and I can catch up with my siblings.

If the weather is good, we’ll go to East Coast Park where the kids can do a variety of activities like cycling, rollerblading, swimming, and building sandcastles.

More about yourself now—how do you like to spend your alone time?
I love hanging out with my girlfriends at coffeehouses to update one another on our lives over good food and great ambience.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Among all of the trips I’ve been on, the best one was to Europe. I really enjoyed looking at the buildings and people, and of course the cold temperature. I’d love to go back again!

Tell us about your personal style.
I started becoming drawn to vibrant colours earlier this year and it’s what I’ve been experimenting with since. Each time I wear a bright-coloured outfit, I find that I get an instant boost in energy and happiness!

What’s an item or accessory that you cannot leave the house without?
I love rings! I have plenty of them and I’ll usually match them with my outfits.
