Tell us something that people don’t really know about you.
I recently started a plant business, @TheBotanist&HerThieves, with some of my close friends.
If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?
I think it’d be grilled crabs. There’s this stall that sells local green crabs, and only eight of them a day. They’re grilled with salt and pepper, and served with mayonnaise.
You cook a lot—is there any particular dish that you’re experimenting with or want to learn?
I’ve taken up a new pet project to cook my mom’s signature dishes. I’ve been trying out her recipes, and attempting to get them as close to the original taste as possible.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
I want to be able to read minds, because that will save me from going through the whole process of understanding people.
What would you be doing if you weren’t doing the job you’re doing right now?
I’ve always wanted to be a vet, because animals can’t always fend for themselves. I have two cats at home, and they were adopted from construction sites.
If there was a dish that describes you the best, what would it be and why?
I think I’m like instant noodles because of its versatility. You can add anything you want into it to make it whatever you want it to be. It’s comfort food, but also not necessarily simple.
