Early Bird

With a beige bucket hat shielding her from the sun rays reflected off the office buildings and malls at Raffles Place, Irene finds a shaded spot to sit. Early for an appointment, she takes this moment to settle herself after a commute into town. She seems poised and composed on the outside—and it is this very sense of quietude that catches our eye. Her outfit agrees with her body language as well:  an oversized shirt layered over a grey tank top speaks cool and breezy, while her wide-legged pants prove functional in Singapore’s hot weather, yet uncompromising on comfort. Sticking with a neutral palette, her white Yeezys with tan soles underline her statement of practicality and effortless style, while a nondescript black tote bag with utilitarian pockets completes her look. We were lucky to catch her for a quick chat before she headed off for her appointment, and as Irene left, we were reminded to find space and time in our day, no matter how short, to pause and relax.
