What’s something you’re into now that you never expected yourself to be into? Why?
I didn’t expect to be playing the violin and piano because I wasn’t musically inclined when I was younger.
Why did you start learning violin and piano?
I started because I began appreciating classical music a few years back. I learnt to play the two instruments through tutorials on YouTube. The learning curve is steep! However, I just take it easy and slowly ‘conquer’ the pieces bit by bit.
What activities were you into when you were younger?
I’m a sporty guy—I was captain of the basketball team in secondary school. Basketball is my favourite sport!
What’s something you’re trying to get better at?
I’m trying to value others above myself and see the potential and value in everyone I meet.
Why do you think that’s important? How can we become better at that?
It’s a really hard thing to do because as humans, we’re all generally self-centred and have selfish ambitions in life. In order to have good and healthy relationships, we have to ‘serve’ and ‘value’ others. To become better, we should be constantly reminded that life is not just about ‘me’, but also about ‘others’.
