Green Ivy

We don’t usually meet people dressed in shades of green, which is why Samira’s palette of earthy forest hues instantly caught our attention. A visiting tourist from Iran, here to see her brother, Samira’s outfit may look plain and dull from a faraway glance, but a closer look reveals that it’s all about the details. We love the subtle navy checks that are only uncovered up close, calling and not screaming for attention. Her bold yellow backpack, as well as her contrasting maroon sneakers, add some lively bursts of colour to her look; yet, despite the stark differences, the combination is strangely complementary. Samira shares how she has always loved colours, although she has been favouring darker shades of late. “Since I turned 30, I’ve been trying to change my style from colourful to something a bit more dark and elegant.” It’s easy for Samira, who isn’t one to worry about brands. “I don’t care what they are, as long as I’m happy with the clothes.”
