Love Letters

Merwin embodies the “model-off-duty” look with a casual ensemble, albeit with some playful, personalised touches. In his outfit, he also carries bits of his loved ones—he shares clothes with his girlfriend, while his tote bag has been scribbled on by his sister. His shoes, he says, were painted over by his friends as a joke. The colourful beaded bracelet he wears, with his name, was given to him as a Christmas gift, a throwback to our childhoods where we gathered around with beading sets and scrambled for the same vowels. Merwin works as a barista and a model, taking a break between school and conventional working life—but we’re pretty sure that whatever he chooses to do will be unconventional in some way or form.
