Magic Fingers

Scarves aren’t the usual accessories to have in a tropical climate like ours, but Angie turns hers into a unique, attention-grabbing accompaniment to her monochromatic outfit. On its own, her loose shirt and the dress she’s worn underneath, matched with a boyish pair of brogues, is classy and simple enough, but Angie throws in a scarf for a bit of a difference. A couple of deft knots and twists, and she’s got herself a chunky necklace in a  bright shade of turquoise that, coincidentally or not, matches the hair tie she’s left on her wrist. It seems that Angie has talented hands; in her free time, she keeps busy by taking on various DIY projects, and even makes her own clothes by altering and taking apart what she already has. “Trends never really change,” she says. “So I just revamp my clothes to keep them updated.” Plus points for not buying into fast fashion, and for showing us that you don’t always have to follow trends to look fashionably stylish.
