Min says she doesn’t think she could ever go back to working in a stiff corporate environment. “I can’t stand taking life too seriously,” she says. “I remember in my very first part-time work stint — it was a very stifling data entry job — I was chided for wearing three quarter pants. I left the job a week later.” She’s much happier where she is now, and says the thing she loves the most about her job are the humorous and big-hearted people she gets to work with. She advises, “Make real, true friends at work. These are people that you will spend most of your time with — you might as well have a really good time with them.” Contrary to what she’s wearing today, Min says that she’s usually in black, but adds pops of colour using accessories, or nail colour or lipstick to brighten things up. One of her pet peeves is ill-fitting clothing, especially for men. “Not everything needs to be super tight, but everything should look tapered and just nice. My advice — when in doubt, always go for the smaller size.” She says she isn’t one to give advice about having a work-life balance, however; she often gets too caught up and carried away when she’s having a productive moment at work that she’s often late to meet her friends and family. For tough work days, however, has this bit of advice: “Sometimes, you just need a beer. Or a glass of whiskey dry. Or a jäger bomb.” If she wasn’t working in her current occupation, Min says she’d like to be a dog sitter, walker, or whisperer. “I’d also love to be a film critic,” she says. “I’m very confident about my judgment on movies.”
