Arina seems to keep coming back. She studied in Singapore for a while, and then went back to her Russian hometown, before returning to continue her studies here. This time, she’s studying fashion, and is strongly convicted that she’s found her passion. “It’s a chance to do something that I like, something that I can express myself through,” she says. “Also, I won’t have to go shopping anymore — I can just make all my own clothes.” And although she’s young, she’s a strong supporter of local Russian designers; the dress she’s wearing today is one such example, and it definitely makes us think that perhaps Arina’s onto something. “I don’t really buy things for the brand,” she says. “I like it when people do nice things.” Arina says her style is usually dependent on her mood, and she finds inspiration from the people around her. “I take note of all the little details that they have, and I keep them in my head and I follow and interpret them for myself.” She’s clear about some of the things she would not be caught dead wearing, though. “I would never wear swearshirts. Oh, and those hoodies with ears on them!” We can’t wait to see what this bright young girl comes up with for herself in the future.
