  1. Andrea is a self-confessed comic geek, and would love to moonlight as Catwoman. In the real world, however, she works part-time at a high-end retail store, where she is encouraged to dress up. “I have a lot of fun putting outfits together for work,” she says. Describing her personal style as versatile but unique, Andrea enjoys putting her own spin on the clothes that she wears. This is a contrast from what she wears to school, however; she tries to keep things more simple in order to save time. “My friend introduced me to a style challenge: to choose only six things out of my wardrobe, and to wear them for a year, so I wear almost the same thing everyday — pants and a tank top.” She finds the tip useful when it comes to dressing up for school as it helps to filter out things that are not necessary in her closet. At work and school, Andrea feels lucky to be able to interact with all sorts of people in environments that are “safe and expectation-free”. She advises her peers who have just started work to always be polite and to “grin and bear it”. On the other hand, she notes that some people simply may not be worth the time and effort, although she knows it sounds contradictory. “The most ideal situation would be that the job is your passion, and your co-workers are like family, but such opportunities are almost non-existent.” While Andrea finds it hard to juggle time between friends, family, work, and school, she believes in the importance of always seizing the opportunity to appreciate those around her. “At every avenue, you must let the people you care for know you love them.” Andrea spends her free time engaging in all sorts of sports and reads extensively. “I’m a bit of a jack of all trades, when it comes to recreation!”
