Flight Attendant
Tell us how you got into your line of work.
I just love travelling. I actually worked as a pharmacist before becoming a flight attendant.
What’s something not many people know about your work?
They think it’s really glamorous, and that all we do is travel, but our schedules can be tough. Of course, getting to see new places can be fulfilling.
What’s the most interesting place you’ve travelled to?
I visited New York once on vacation. I like how it’s fast-paced and people are constantly on the move. I really liked visiting Central Park.
What’s the most memorable encounter you’ve had with a passenger?
It can be touching when passengers thank us after a flight. I fly with a low-cost domestic airline, so some people are just glad that they can travel to visit their families for an affordable price.
If you could switch lives with anyone for a day, who would it be?
(Singaporean socialite) Jamie Chua. I’d just want to know what her daily life is like—and get to use her luxury bags! (laughs)
If you were stranded on a desert island, what are some things you’d like to have with you?
Definitely my phone, and a book. The last book I read was The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo—I was inspired to clean up my house after I read it.
