What are some of your comfort foods?
Definitely anything tom yam! Its taste is really unique and I always feel very satisfied after eating it, especially tom yam soup (even if it means risking getting a stomachache after). As for local food, I really enjoy eating orh luak (oyster omelette) and bak chor mee (minced meat noodles). They’re simple yet tasty dishes that I constantly crave for!
What would your dream eating contest involve?
Ramen! Preferably with broth that is spicy and peppery.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to your younger self?
Never be afraid of failure, because things will always pan out in the way that you least expect them to.
If someone were to offer you an unlimited supply of one thing, what would you ask for?
Memory. We retain so little of what we encounter on a daily basis, and I wish I could have an unlimited supply of memories that I can always look back on. I guess you could say I’m a pretty nostalgic person!
Describe what you consider the best feeling in the world.
Lying down on cold marble. My living room has marble flooring so I really enjoy doing this just to relax. Also, I really like the ache I get after a good workout.
What’s the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Once, when I alighted from the bus on my way home, my earphones got caught on the bus railing and were yanked straight out of my ears. It was so embarrassing because they were tangled pretty badly and the entire bus (which was really packed) silently watched as I struggled to untangle it.
