Retreat
What’s a lesson you’ve learned from your work?
To never stop learning, and not be discouraged by failure.
What’s something not many people know about you?
I speak French.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you go, and why?
Italy! I’m incredibly drawn to its old-world charm, and its rustic and slightly disorganised nature. Italy’s long history has left it a legacy of artistic examples of beauty from different periods and civilisations, across art, architecture, food, and religion. I also appreciate that the locals are warm and expressive.
Best decision I’ve ever made:
Any one that was spontaneous, and that I didn’t have to overthink.
What’s an experience you’d like to have?
I’d like to experience off-grid living. I’ve often wondered what it’s like to disconnect from the consumer economy and internet, and live independently from society and its products. It teaches one to be self-reliant, connect more with nature and perhaps to just truly live.
If you could live in a movie, which would it be and why?
Inception by Christopher Nolan. It would be cool to live in a dream that feels so realistic. There’s also so much you can do—you can create projections, implant an idea into someone’s mind, and defy gravity.
