Where are you originally from and what brings you to Singapore?
I’m from Taiwan where I previously worked in a coffeeshop. I recently attained my coffee master certification, so I thought of changing up my environment and trying something new.

I decided to give Singapore a go, and I’m now a ground staff at Changi Airport on a two-year contract. It’s been two months and I’m enjoying work so far, but the weather here is so hot!

What’s the biggest adjustment you’ve had to make since moving here?
Probably the food that I eat. I really miss Taiwanese food as I’m not very used to the flavours here. Recently, I tried a Taiwanese-style breakfast at a highly-rated shop in Chinatown, but it wasn’t to my taste (laughs).

What do you like to do on your days off?
I like to go out to explore the country, just like today. I’m actually on my way to see the Merlion right now.

I like to do the same back in Taiwan, except with my motorcycle since I’m licensed to ride there.

Is there anything you’re looking forward to seeing or doing in your time here?
Visit art galleries and exhibitions like Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience that’s happening at Resorts World Sentosa. I think I’ll do that soon!

How would you describe your style?
I often dress in workwear as I think they’re most comfortable and functional for everyday use, and I usually like wearing an earthy palette. My favourite brands are the Taiwanese label Goofing-off (that I’m wearing now) and the Japanese brand NOTHOMME.
