What’s one piece of advice you have for people who are just about to start working?
Be willing to make mistakes and learn from them, and not focus too much on your salary.

What’s the last movie you watched that you enjoyed?
Crazy Rich Asians. I like that it features an all-Asian cast, and that it’s set in Singapore. I watched it because I was curious about the lifestyles of the rich.

How about a TV show you’ve been watching?
Fresh Off The Boat. I like the show’s sense of humour and how it pokes fun at stereotypes of Asians.

How do you think the world will be different in 20 or 30 years?
I think it’d be a crazy world where technology can do everything—replace human labour, change our genes and make us immortal. Parents could decide how their kids will look, and people might share the same features. Global warming might escalate, and rich people would leave Earth to live on other planets. (laughs)

Tell us about an interesting or strange dream you’ve had.
I don’t dream that often to be honest, and my dreams aren’t all that interesting. One dream I can remember is that I woke up one day with the ability to travel back in time . I bought a lot of property and gold, making me super rich in the present.
