Tessellated Visions

In an outfit that consists of basics with a twist, Zhang Shuang pulls off a casual Friday look with aplomb. From the embellished detail on an otherwise plain white shirt, to the striking prints on her pants, Zhang Shuang knows how to look smartly dressed while still maintaining a youthful, fresh air. This Beijing native is actually the mother of a 2-year-old child; her parents send her photos of her son when she’s at work. Having been in Singapore for 4 years, she has come to love laksa, the weather (“I feel that it’s better here than in China”), and the shopping. Zhang Shuang says that her favourite part of her job is that it allows her to meet many successful people: “I can learn so much from them.” If she wasn’t where she is now, though, Zhang Shuang says she would like to start her own “little fashion store.” If her style today is anything to judge by, we think she’ll do well in either vocation.
