In my years at work, one thing I’ve learnt is:
Less is more.
If I weren’t a hairstylist I’d be:
Doing something related to film or image making. Maybe a director or photographer.
Ideal work uniform:
I don’t believe in having a uniform. I feel that you should wear whatever you like, whenever you feel like it, and however you want it. I consider myself a mood-dresser and whatever I wear depends on my mood in the morning.
What are some of your hobbies?
Reading. I enjoy reading books and manga. I might be slow to jump on the bandwagon but the last book I read was Haruki Murakami’s Kafka On The Shore on a recent trip to Bali. Oh, traveling is another passion of mine. I love Bali, even though I don’t swim or tan. I just while my time away in the villa, reading.
I’m particularly fond of Wes Anderson’s movies; The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Darjeerling Limited are two of my all-time favourites.
Best piece of advice I’ve ever received:
You are the master of your own heart, which you have full control of. Ignore things that are beyond your control and just focus on the things you can. Life becomes a lot simpler.
Best decision ever:
I’ve never regretted any decision made so I think all my decisions were right? At least I hope they were! (laughs)
