Tristan certainly isn’t your average banker — he’s an avid user of Tumblr and often surfs and reblogs style inspiration from around the globe, and is quite the traveller as well. “Since moving to Asia in 2010, I have worked and lived in more than 6 countries in 4 years, while holidaying in even more,” he says. “I think that this exposure to new places and different cultures has taught me to be dynamic, adaptable, considerate, welcoming, and above all, to appreciate what life offers us.” In his work, Tristan loves being able to interact, develop, and lead people to achieve greater outcomes than they had expected, but also finds joy in creative pursuits outside of work. “I love styling and buying clothes and shoes for myself and my girlfriend, as well as furnishing our apartment with art, home wares, and random gadgets.” Describing his personal style as “funky-classic”, edgy, and a little different from the norm, Tristan personalises his look by wearing well-cut, quality fabrics in colours that are traditional with a twist. “So if it’s a blue suit it’s be in a shade of blue that is interesting. I often start with a base, such as what shoes or tie I want to wear that day, given my feelings or the weather of the day.  Then I choose a shirt and suit around that,” he says. “At all times I make my outfits interesting with colourful socks and quality footwear. And don’t forget classy and consistent grooming — this is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to look good and stand out.” Originally from Australia, Tristan has adapted his palate to local tastes. “I enjoy the famous crab at Mellben Seafood, and also the fish head curry at Muthu’s on Racecource Road.”
