Ee Jian caught our eye with an understated outfit that had just the right amount of embellishments. “My personal style is ‘smart and no-nonsense’, which means I tend to stick to solid colours.” With a preference for classic pieces, Ee Jian says she doesn’t keep up with fashion trends much, choosing to differentiate her outfits with accessories, jackets and heels. At work, she believes networking is key. “Seek to establish rapport with as many people as you can, even if you don’t need to interact with them directly for your work. Don’t see it as being opportunistic, but building a mutually-beneficial relationship,” Ee Jian says. She expresses contentment with her work-life balance, revealing that a strict schedule and self-discipline is what makes it all possible. “I go the gym every morning, and everyone comes home for dinner every Sunday.” It’s clear that Ee Jian is close to her family; she cites her father as a key role model in life. “He’s sincere in his relationships, passionate in all that he does and has taken time to contribute to society for the past forty years,” she says. When not at work or with family, Ee Jian embarks on mountain biking adventures, cycling up to 100km on flat roads and 36km on mountain trails. “If I could do anything, I would like to be mountain biking all the awesome trails around the world.”
