Priyanka says that her personal style revolves around vibrant pieces, and unique accessories and designs. A typical outfit could include “some statement necklaces on neutral colours, dainty rings and a silver anklet, prints, or a pop of colour.” With a love for midi-skirts and a disdain for those ending above the knees, Priyanka embraces the corporate dress code. “In Singapore, especially, everyone has a great workwear style, and it’s both professional and relaxed.” This is Priyanka’s second visit from Australia, this round for a longer business trip. “I love the team spirit at my job, and how people just want to make sure you have a laugh during the day. They also make sure that you enjoy the good food Singapore has to offer!” Priyanka admits it can be tricky to maintain a work-life balance, and she tries to catch up with family and friends over text or calls during commute. Back home, Priyanka does her best to make time for her colourful list of hobbies, which include learning Indian classical music, volunteering with a chosen NGO, and various cultural exhibitions. To those entering the workforce, Priyanka has some sound advice to offer. “Use your Sunday afternoons and evenings for relaxation, general reading and planning for the week ahead,” she says. “I think being organised, and reflecting on your purpose are really important, as it’s very easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of each day.”
