When we first met Christine a couple of years back, she was in a state of wanderlust, planning for a trip that would take her to Belgium, London, and Morocco. Travelling is still high on Christine’s list of things to do, and she says she would love more time to explore places she hasn’t been to. “Iceland, Finland, Peru, New Zealand and South Africa are on my list!” No matter where or when we spot Christine, she’s always well-put-together, and perhaps one of the ways she manages to always look good is by making sure she has the basics down pat. “I think some wardrobe staples that everyone should own are a white button-up shirt to add a crisp polish; nude or black flats, for when you need a break from your heels; and a classic man’s watch.” If she could wear anything she wanted to work, however, Christine would choose to be comfortable. “I’d pick sneakers and jeans that my feet and body can breathe in.” Working in Finance, it’s unlikely that she’ll see that come to pass, but it seems she enjoys making sure that she looks professional and stylish. Apart from style advice, Christine also shares some tips on managing a work-life balance. “Understanding my priorities and goals allows me to manage my time more effectively. Having a positive attitude and focusing on the things I can control also helps,” she says. “Another piece of advice would be to collaborate with others — divide & conquer!” If she wasn’t at work, or planning her next big adventure, Christine says she has other interests that she wishes to spend more time on. “If I’m not being greedy, I would love to develop my interest and knowledge in architecture and design too.”
