Framing The Look
Featuring (left to right, top to bottom): Michelle, Scott, Sean, Arthur, Floremae, and Marco
In what seems like the distant past, spectacles were deemed as geeky and an item of necessity, rather than a choice. These days, however, even people with perfect vision are donning frames as an accessory to complete their outfit. The right pair of frames can smarten up your look, while a quirky, eye-catching pair serves the same purpose as a hat or brooch, drawing attention to the wearer’s face. The important thing about wearing glasses is choosing a pair that complements your face shape or facial features. Those with rounded faces should avoid round frames, and opt for rectangular frames instead; conversely, rounded frames would do well to soften angular features. The more adventurous can even collect different pairs to go with different ensembles and styles; think, a striking, cat-eye shaped pair to add some contrast to a plain outfit, or a scholarly, tortoiseshell frame to complement a dapper, suited look.
